Reduce Stuttering

So even though I have a fairly stable 60fps I keep experiencing the occasional stutter. I have tried a few different ways to fix this problem, and they have helped, but I'm wondering if people have any suggestions for how to reduce stuttering.

I got the same problem with I5-6600 with GTX1060 6GB
Shouldn't the game be running smoothly ???

Same, but it typically only happens when something pops up on the interface

Intel core i7-6700
GTX 970
16gb ram ddr4

I can try and help, but i basically dont know ♥♥♥♥, i cant even optimize my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. What are you specs, first off

I FIXED IT I THINK!

I just did the same thing i did to stop stuttering in assassins creed origins, which is, go into your nvidia control panel, go to manage 3d settings, go to program settings, select your far cry 5 exe which is located in far cry 5, bin, and change anisotropic filtering to 16x and change maximum pre rendered frames to 1, and walah, no more issues

This seems to help, it doesn't eliminate the problem but now the stuttering only happens when the framerate drops suddenly instead of appearing random. I'll have to play with it some more.

Hmm... also set power management mode to prefer maximum performance if you haven’t already, and see if that helps, otherwise I don’t know... you could try to increase your page file but I doubt that would help too much as from my experience having a bigger pagefile actually generally means worse performance if you have a lot of ram, maybe pick up an ssd... what are your specs by the way, like your gpu, cpu, and ram. If you only have 8gb of ram that could be the problem, Ubisoft games are very taxing on ram, and often times even though 8gb is the recommended you’ll need more than that.

yeah only 8 gb of ram. It's not a huge problem but it would be nice to nail down what causes it.

Change "disableloadingmip" from 0 to 1 in gamerprofile .txt file in your FC5 game folder. Mountains will look like ♥♥♥♥ but the game should run smoothly albeit with hitching when it autosaves and you pick up items.
