Why does the Desert Eagle use 50 cal rounds
That's just silly. .50AE and .50BMG aren't even remotely the same other than diameter.

Surely I am not the only one who sees the problem here. In all seriousness tho, I'm mostly just annoyed that I can only hold an extra 10 bullets for this thing. That's kinda really not how this gun works IRL and makes it a not very good choice compared to the other handguns.

dude, when u reach ng+, u get so many capacity to one point u can carry tons of ammos

using resistance mod that make enemy uses deag instead of 1911, ak instead of ar-c, mbp/45-70 instead or ar-cl. I never run out of deagle ammo :P

nope, sorry was mixed up hahaha

when u got to ng+, u can stack more ammo capacity perk, to the point u got too much ammo cap

I don't like it either but as a tradeoff it kills common cultists in 1 bodysot and all non heavy enemies in 1 headshot. (not counting animals here ofc). Also as mentioned before in new game plus you can increae your ammo capacity up to 125.

finish the game and then opt in for new game plus, however if u wanna do it now on first playthrough, then get a 100% save

You can also choose between normal rounds and AP rounds when you highlight the weapon in the weapons menu it shows the round types you have above each weapon, scroll mouse wheel to switch between them.
This will enable much more take down power esp for those armored mobs!
Of course you need to enable the AP rounds first through the store!

AP rounds are literally only good vs heavies (M60/Flamethrower guys),otherwise it's a waste of money, and heavies can be easily killed with remote explosives (or takedowns), everything else dies to 1 headshot. (again, not counting animals)

I was disappointed by the Desert Eagle relying on my precious Sniper rounds, which I use with my suppressed SA50 Sniper Rifle for priority targets. The Desert Eagle got far more use in Far Cry 4, as it used Pistol Ammo (even though that doesn't make much sense).

Makes more sense that it use pistol ammo, seeing as how it IS a pistol. I mean seriously, those 50bmg rounds are as big as the damn barrel.

I've not tested this personally as I haven't unlocked ap rounds yet, but the game says they're more effective against vehicles than regular bullets, although I would think it'd be better to just use a rocket for those.

Remote explosives destroy all vehicles instantly, and if you get the perk to reduce the crafting cost of it you'll literally have unlimited supply of it. Against aircrafts get a RAT4 rocket launcher with the lock on upgrade, needless to say it's also very efective against other vehicles too

AP rounds in this game are pretty useless. Yes they deal more damage, pierce armour, but there are literally 2 types of enemies that use armour and they can be killed easily anyways unlike in New Dawn where the basic motorcyle helmet fully protects from a 50 cal sniper headshot....
