How to keep "Private Game" checkbox checked?

It is kinda tiring to always click on the "Private Game" checkbox when I want to play solo or with my friends.

The game just keeps unchecking "Private Game" when I click on the Mission or Difficulty select screen or if I leave the screen.

It can remember "Strict matchmaking" and "Host game" but why not "Private Game"...

How can I make the game remember my choice at the mission select screen that I want to create a private game?

Are you using any mods? I was thinking that the base game does remember the Private Game box for custom games but for some reason a side-effect of the Host your own game mod is that it unchecks the box (unless you use the mod's toggle keybind I assume) all the time.

You can't. Nothing but quality programming here.

You can set it to private once you get in game by holding tab and clicking to get the mouse cursor over the players screen, then click the checkbox. Hopefully nobody joins by then :P

I disabled all my mods and now it remembers. Now I am going to see which one was that and gonna post here in case someone wants to know aswell.

Yes, it was that mod.
I wrote to them in the comment section of this bug. Hope they fix it.

There was/is a random crash after closing the game. That crash usually happened unnoticed as it only happened when shutting down the game. But it resulted in options not being saved as the corresponding file doesnt get updated. Dunno if it was tied to any specific mod though.
Was only noticable by checking the console.log of the session.
