Grudge Mark Bosses only in Chaos Wastes? Why not in normal runs?
I don't understand why Fatshark decided to put this new feature (bosses may spawn with X random attributes), which is cool, only in the Chaos Wastes mode.

It would be a fresh new feature to have also in normal campaign runs. But from what i've read in the update, it's only for Chaos Wastes mode.

Disappointing. I see no reason to bar this from the normal levels for random bosses.

Chaos Wastes mode is getting far more attention than it should. By Fatshark I mean... as nobody seems to play it much, matchmaking to find people is always slow and often doesn't bring a full party. On Legend. Meh.

What? Plenty of people play CW, I can always get a game. CW is also the newest feature they added to the game, so of course it's going to get attention.

Yeah plenty of people play Chaos Wastes. Especially now with this update.

Well i tried a couple of times and the matchmaking didn't go very well. Maybe now things changed, I didn't play VT2 since some time now.

I feel your pain, most of my "matchmaking didn't go well" comes from joining a pub game. Getting FF'd to death by ppl to busy chatting to notice ppl are meleeing the grudge marked boss.

2ndly ppl that run up and pop the chest when everyone is super low, then run off and die. I mean its the same stuff as when cata started.

+1
I'm guessing it's more due to the fact that they have a lot more freedom with what they can get away with in a game mode like the Chaos Wastes, as opposed to the more grounded normal adventure mode.

Could see it being added to Weaves, though. If it wasn't, like, dead.

Thing is, Adventure mode is very much well established in both form and overall difficulty. I think adding Grudge Monsters there would be received poorly by many, at least as they are now. Twitch Mode might work as an optional toggle. Or a weekly event. Or something opt in, in some capacity. But adding them to the game mode that's been there for years might rock the boat too much. Penny for people's thoughts though. I'm just spitballing.

Grudgemonsters in their current iteration are "balanced" for CW; they're meant to be going up against players with a power level far exceeding that of the vanilla game experience. Now, if people are finding certain combinations of marks busted even with the ability to fart lightning and shoot double, exploding projectiles, I'll leave it to you to imagine the backlash when they have to face the same overtuned monsters with vanilla loadouts.

They simply would not work in vanilla.

maybe if/when a deed rework happens you could have new deed modifiers that spawn certain grudge marked monsters? that would be a cool way to do it

^Twitch mode, weekly and/or Deeds :)
PS: Craftable/customizeable Cata Deeds (without using the bug - thanks for letting that in the game btw!) maybe ~ okay i can dream

Deeds, Twitch Mode, Weekly Events, all of these sound like good candidates, tbh. Specially if the mechanic ends up being expanded with more modifiers it'd mean better bang for your buck if they can be used in this way.

I agree with this. I don't think adding them into the vanilla game would be well-received but I think adding them via twitch, weekly or deeds would be a great addition to help give those modes a little something something more.

That sounds like a good modifier for the weekly event, yeah.
