Increased reports of quick play trolls
Heroes,

We've noted the influx of reports regarding Quick Play lobbies being held up by players with no intentions of quickplaying. We'd ask if you have individuals to bring to light, that you do so privately and avoid posting profiles or names directly to the forums. You're free to discuss the 'situation' but we'd ask you provide names of individuals directly to us - you can do this via community@fatshark.se.

In the mean time, if you find yourself stuck in a loop, you can opt to run the whitelisted mod allowing you to force host your own match, whilst we look to address the problem and provide tooling to allow you to curate who you do and do not match with.

Cheers!

For those frustrated, we beseech your patience until Fatshark can address the situation. For now, as it stands there are three options available to avoid joining an undesirable host.
  1. One alternative is to host your own game. Custom Games can be hosted normally with a checkbox when starting one, while Quick Play can be forced to host by using the aforementioned mod above.
  2. If Quick Play is repeatedly placing you in the lobby of a troll, you can use the Lobby Browser (bottom-left corner after you press M) to choose another host to join. Please note that you will not get a Quick Play loot bonus from this match.
  3. By playing as the same hero already selected by someone who is causing trouble, you can avoid being placed in the same match as them. To do this you will first need to disable "Suggest Other Heroes" in the Network Options.

Please implement a block feature as soon as possible.

It's literally just two people. I really don't understand why it's so difficult to ban them or what really needs to be investigated. How are they able to do this for 14+ hours a day for the last week with nothing done about it?

Because to ensure fairness, they need to follow the rules. Keep sending reports to them is helpful.
Remind you that this issue appeared like 3 days ago and we immediately have a response from devs. That’s incredibly fast imo.

I deeply doubt
First of all, this game is not the free to play kind, you have to buy it
Second, the player base is really small
Third, as far as I can see, there are only a few of them
As many have reported the same few troll players, I don't see why it takes so long to solve this problem
The only possible reason is fatshark has no capability for punishing trolling players at all

BTW
If taking three days to punish a few trolls = fairness
what is "letting them ruin other's game"?

Bear in mind it's the weekend, so it's not likely they've had many people able to work on anything for the past 48 hours.

isnt it one guy doing it?
What's mildly baffling is that the "blacklist lobby" feature existed in vt1, together with community based tools that allowed players to remove cheaters and ban them from ever joining their hosted lobbies. Meanwhile, Vermintide 2 is more than 2 years old btw.
Request: Sanction the Delay QuickPlay on players you already joined mod. This should prevent you from re-joining quickplay hosts that you just left. Useful in cases where there are troll hosts like this one.

Another possibility is looking for the exact name of the troll and blocking them on steam

This does nothing. Apparently posting about this issue has made all the troll wannabes more abundant, in EU we barely had this and today it's a plague. Hope they get some fun being banned.

While ur at it, please note that hosting games with twitch connected results in locked options for private/public. U will have to disconnect from twitch before u r able to make changes to those settings and its annoying and unnecessary. Thx!
Well at least this has made Fatshark realize just how broken their quickplay system is. Hoping for a major overhaul soon.
