Either he never existed and is Bardin's imaginary friend or Cousin Okri being dead and Bardin Feeling traumatized/guilty about it. There is a lot of room for Interpretation. Also his search for the Dwarven Stornghold might be connected to this. Because someone mentions that is appears that Bardin isnt realy searching for it.
Even if he is alive,I doubt Fatshark would destroy Okri's mystery.
I mean come on
Okri
Orki
"Ya stupid gits can't even spel Orki right in the right propah ORKI WAY"

Now that's a 100% grudge, you wazzoks!
Okay, now for real: i doubt that we gonna get new character any time soon, or, unfortunately, at all. MAYBE new careers, but, again, not any time soon.
The whole "is Okri real?" is a fun bit that gives more depth to the interaction between Bardin and the rest. Whatever the direction, it would seem a waste to introduce more Okri related stuff and not go anywhere with it.
