Hosting Quick Play as a Solo?

Is this feature not available? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'd like to Host Quick Play matches, seeing as my Internet/game-client is very stable and I have a great computer to go along with it. It gets rather annoying when you join a random person's game who ends up Migrating Host halfway through. (which restarts the entire level).
Regardless of the causing issue, it'd be nice for people to have the option to Host Quick Play matches when you are alone.

Oh, so I guess you have to do an unecessary workaround to get it started then. I'll assume this will be an actual feature sometime soon.

I hope they did dedicated servers or at least don't reset progress when host leave and game migrating to another.

Well in Quickplay que it may automatically make you host your own match depending on local availability. It assumes you'd rather join a group instead of wait.

If you wanted to wait for people to join you then you'd have to create a match first ... oh wait, that's exactly what you're supposed to do.

The game will also transition to a different host at the lobby between matches if it perceives one as significantly superior (aka sum of pings for all players is dramatically lower or something).

I've never once had Quick Play make me host, is this something you're making up or have you actually had experienced this before?

Host Migration does indeed reset all of your progress made on the level. It puts you back at the very beginning.

I've found that if you host a server by yourself and let random people join via quickplay, you don't get the quickplay chest upgrade bonus at the end.

So you either have to give up the bonus, or risk losing half an hour of progress due to host migration.

You can start a mission, wait in keep, let people join you, cancel the mission and enter quickplay to get the bonus.

2 years later, still not a feature.

There's an approved mod that lets you do it.

If it cant find you a group even after increasing search range, it makes you the host. Just had this now as Bardin.

Additionally, you can get a mod that lets you choose to host your own quickplay game.

No action by the devs needed - this feature is included, and made easier by a very simple mod. Do check it out!

Presently I would also say that the majority of the crashes i'm encountering are caused by some bell hammer, joining the game with Mod's installed that crash the host. Despite scrolling guidance directing people to resolve certain issues.

Go into your Network options tab

Matchmaking:
Suggest Other Heroes -Turn this Off

Other:
Quick Play Search Range -Set to Near ( Far is good for searching other lobbies )



Now when you search for a match, every time there is no opening in any QP lobby, you will automatically Host your own Quickplay lobby

setting it this way gives you the least amount of search parameters to force a Quickplay Host to occur for yourself

This is the only *reliable* method to make a Quickplay Hosted game without mods
