i just take them as they come. if they dont tag, they dont tag.
ANYONE benefits from it, and it can be continuously reapplied every 6 seconds to renew the debuff.
so only morons don't abuse the ♥♥♥♥ out of the WHC's tags.
Tag to highlight is good and usually i see it used on cata. But definetly not for DMG boost. Rarely people care about it. THX to BP system.
i get that way of thinking and also dont. i mean the breakpoint argument:
if you need more then 1 hit and the 20% does not bring you into onehit range its useless - but there is still your team around. your hit might leave the enemie with that little health that a teammate that would otherwise take muliple hits only needs one to finnish them off.
also for dots and everything that does smaller hits the 20% damageboost is exceptionally noticable.
there is really no point in not tagging with a WHC in the group, especially since it takes no time.
but i dont waste my breath in pubs anymore.
Breakpoints are a nice calculation game on paper but often fail to describe the real battle Situation. Firstly, you cant adress all breakpoints. Often you reach them for specific Units and are close to others. The 20 % will help there.
Other than that, you are often not the sole person to hit on an enemy. You have a foe which for examples takes 4 hits by yourself. Then inbetween a teammate lands a hit and you just need another hit. Add 20 % more damage and the enemy goes down by the hit of the teammate. People should just tag, it doesnt hurt anyone and it can help in many situations if only for showing an approaching Packmaster.
Guys, i just explained why a lot of people dont bother to tag even with WHC in team. They dont feel it as important for reasons i described above.
For me - it is ALWAYS beter to tag. Regardless of WHC presence.
Well, your wording heavily implies or outright says this: Fact: Brain people have BP and don't need tag for damage.
And all I wanted to showcase (to the average reader of this thread) was that even in this scenario where one has perfect breakpoints he has still circumstances outside your control (like three other team members) which can throw off one's wonder mathematics so that tagging is always a good idea, not only for highlighting but also for increased damage. So there is always an application for the bonus damage unless your team is dead.
