haha i don't think my steam name shows in offline games :)
Yes, i forgot to EDIT my post to fixed, because this actually did it... all you have to do is copy that adress into your host files... If windows does not let you do that, you can easily achieve it via copying host files to desktop and edit them there, then copy and replace back to windwos folder and lagging solved :)
LOTS of things are true, without You being aware of them... I never said the name is "SHOWING" on Your' screen, but MOST games aren't setup to handle ridiculous script crap in user names, even if They're offline, & not "showing", but You just keep being one of "those people"... I tried to help a guy using that ridiculous crap in Destiny-2, who couldn't figure out WHERE His' constant, jitterly lag was coming from, after arguing with Me, just like You are, for days, He found out that it WAS His' stupid Steam name, that was being displayed as ********** in the game, because of the script crap He was using. Try changing it, & maybe starting a new game, just in case it flarmed up Your' entire save, or don't, I was only trying to help.
I don't see how expressing my opinion on your comment is arguing, no hard feelings from my side... I appriciate your help, but i never had any problems with my username interfearing with game's running in many years, and won't change it unless i ran into a problem where it could have been messing with the game :) as for the saints row i've already figured out that you have to copy an adress into windows' host files, but still on my proper pc it ran just fine, even without that :)
