[SOLVED!] Game Not Recognizing Save Files
Alright, so.. after trying in vain to fix this problem on my own, I'm really at a loss as to what's going on. In my game folder are three save files. They are recognized by the Steam cloud, but not by the game itself. Trying to load a file in SR3 results in an empty tab that says "No Save Games." But I'm looking at them with my own eyes.

I have tried deleting the save files themselves, deleting the folder, uninstalling the game and re-installing it, verifying integrity of cache files, closing and re-opening Steam, and pretty much every other fix under the sun. Supposedly this isn't an uncommon problem, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried anything that worked in the past?

Just as a one-off, I am not currently using any mods, and have never actually installed a mod of any kind for SR3. Though I suppose there's more than one way to corrupt a save game.. Meh.

Well, I thought that maybe I could create a new save file, then replace it with one of my old ones, but now the game is telling me the storage device I have selected does not have enough space to create a new save. I *know* this isn't right, because I have 2TB free. Hmmm..

Will keep you guys updated if I find a solution for this.

[UPDATE!!!]

Okay. Finally. So, after receiving the error that told me I don't have enough space, yet another restart of Steam finally fixed it. Make sure you check your processes and that nothing Steam-related is still running. Here's some of the potential fixes I've found.

If it's showing that you have no save files, go into your save directory (it should be located under Steam > userdata > (your user ID) > 55230 > remote). Backup your save files in another location, then delete the entire "remote" folder. Start up Saints Row 3, and it should create a new "remote" folder. Attempt to start a new game, and it will give you the "not enough space" error. Exit the game, exit Steam (again: make sure no Steam processes are still running), then try running the game again. If this doesn't work, try it once more.

Alternatively: try backing up your save files, deleting them, starting a new game (if you're not getting the space error), saving, then replacing the new save with one of your old ones (make sure you rename it to match the new save game's file name.)

I hope this helps someone else out. Cheers! <3

Yo i FIXED IT finally :D How did i fix it?!?: Basicly i deleted not just the game but EVERY SaintsRow 4 file in my pc, it had another "path" in my main C folder instead of W where i installed it, it makes 2 paths 1 in the game steam and another in the Steam folder not just steamapps and userdata, i had to delete BOTH folders, i pretty mich deleted all saintsRow 4 folders in my PC besides the saves i had of course. hope that will fix for anyone having same problem i had!
