Brick Rigs

Brick Rigs

Should Brick Rigs come to consoles?
I, personally, think it should for a couple of reasons. One being that the game is extremely easy to run. I play on a potato pc with a Ryzen 3 and a super standard office graphics card, but i can still get 45 fps on high. The 2nd being that it would bring many new players to the game. The game, currently, is neither dead or alive. It just kinda exists with its small community. I think that it coming to Xbox would be a great update for the game.

It would at very least need to come out of early access first.

Well, yes but i did some digging on google.
And on reddit someone said "I have heard it can be done but I don’t know how to download it?" when you can't. it's a PC only game.

It was a mix of a joke that was going on for a short while that you could port it onto consoles and some people confusing it for the console commands. I actually got in on the console joke myself.

Ah ok.
but wouldn't steam need to come to console (even tho some of the games on console don't require steam)
Like left 4 dead 2 on xbox 360

They don't need to come to console, if you want to play a Steam game on your TV, get Steam Deck and the port thingy.

Forgot about that damn steam deck.

Maybe they could make Brick Rigs Console Edition or smth, like Minecraft has Java and Bedrock edition.

a bit problematic for a single developer to manage two different versions of the game
not really practical, way more work, less frequent updates or risk of the dev burning out

True. but it could also cost money even more to release on xbox?
Like xbox games are normally $59.99

I feel that they might pull an Unturned where they port it in an old version then slowly update it and fix bugs, add bugs, and then never patch them

Yea..
Like how MInecraft BUGRock editions current state is

I feel like building would be pretty difficult on a controller, a joystick is far less precise then a mouse pointer.

Also the controller support on PC for this game is already kinda iffy.
The game has far more inputs then a controller has buttons, and most vehicles are designed for KBM so they requiring reworking to fully function on controller. Not so much cars, but tanks and especially aircraft make for some weird button placement if you use a comtroller. Even with cars though the steering speed you can get away with on a controller is often faster then on a keyboard as you have analogue control.

And as others mentioned, the developer is a single person, but even if MS or Sony provided the staff to port the game, I don't think it would work very well.
