"If it ain't broken, don't fix it."
And playing the game just doesn't feel enjoyable anymore.
Im a special snowflake too
so public servers are pretty terrible as a result as most hosts probably don't even have their age in the double digit range (despite the minimum age for steam technically being 13, and really for any kind of service where you can meet other people, so online games as well)
it's pretty subjective regarding this, I personally find it to be mostly an improvement
while some features remain missing and are slowly being reintroduced, overall I do like the new building as much as the old one and mainly, actuator lag which is what made me despise legacy so much is finally gone, so I'd rather deal with the minor gripes I have with the new version than have to deal with something that made my tanks barely usable
if you don't like the new version, that's good for you, but calling it "worse in pretty much every aspect" is objectively wrong, you say you dislike it instead
the thing is, there was quite a few broken things in legacy, and the code of the game apparently was so frustrating to work with that fluppi recoded it (from what I heard at the time, it was either this or practically no more development of the game, that's how bad it was), so it's not the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and the implied "change for the sake of chang", it's more of a necessary change if brickrigs was to keep being updated in the first place
it's true that physics in a lot of ways have been made worse, and in the newer version there's frequent physics changes and tweaking in the updates to try to make it better, but that's what has to be worked with
it's not that there were unnecessary changes, it's that the whole thing was redone from the ground up and that a lot of the issues you have are consequences of that
fluppi didn't remove features because it was funny or anything, it's just they weren't implemented in the rebuild of the game yet (whitelisting creations is apparently returning in the next update, for example)
Reason #2. While yes the physic are a little "lack Lester", there is progress. Idk, I personally kinda like the new update!
