new player: How to spawn train on tracks?

Hi guys,

When I go to "F" free view mode and hold SPACE a box comes up where to spawn,

however when spawning trains they dont seem to "snap" to the tracks - even if I very carefuly try to position them on the tracks..,

I seen some videos of the spawn area as a greenbox (indicating the "snap"?) and puts them directly on the tracks.

Any help appreciated.

Spawn at the garage the tracks start at once, spawn a train in, press and hold backspace to spawn at the garage, if the train is properly setup in the editor it should spawn on the tracks automatically. Otherwise you have to manually align the box over a sufficient length of straight track, very accurately.

As far as i know there is no train snapping. The other option is while in the train open the map and select the garage at the start of the track and use the teleport option and that will skip the extra steps i described before.

the gauge is to narrow thats why it dont snap

Desert is the only in game map that has a garage starting point on train track, the city and bricksville map do not..
