Cant drive vehicles

i've recently got the game but when i try to drive any vehicle, nothing happens! can someone plz tell me how to fix, i've looked on youtube and followed the intructions but it just doesnt work, pleas help me

Is everything connected, and do you have an engine on your car?

Select your driver seat and press L, and then press H. That will show you all the disconnected parts. That could be the problem. Press alt+H to unhide everything.

i can hear the engine sounds and the vehicle will roll forwards extremely slowly for about a cm. then stop and after that point it wont move. I will add the fact that this is a steam build built by someone else and not me. i have never properly played this game because i cant drive the vehicles.

So, i had this same problem but i recently discovered this was because i had manual transmission enabled. To disable, while in game press escape, then hit options, then hit gameplay, and you should have the option to switch transmission types
