vehicles with weapons

how do i build guns and get them to work after i've built them

When attached, they just work by hitting right-click on your mouse or left bumper on a controller

That's litterally how they work. You attach them to your vehicle and when you are driving it, they will shoot

Exactly how nothing_cool explained to build them. You place the gun on the vehicle and eventually you add a barrel to it. It will shoot when you click whatever button is assigned to 'Action 1' (most likely a mouse button).

Is there something else wrong with your gun, perhaps? Do you want it to rotate and move? In that case, the gun itself cannot do that. You have to connect it to actuators.

thank you how do i assign action groups? i may have made the gun wrong

You don't. They all have different inputs. You cannot "switch" the active weapons, they are all active all the time.

how do you make a gun seprate to the whole car so that someone other than the driver can use it?
