Playing With Friends
If I want to play with a specific person, is there a way to do that? There is no private servers, no IP's, no way to invite a friend, and no way to pick who you play with. I LOVE the game and my friend bought it, but I have no idea how we could play online together. Can someone help? :steamhappy:

It's pretty simple, ask your friend to go to the server browser. After your friend is in the server browser it's your turn. Simply click play, then click "Enable multiplayer" on the top right. You can set the player limit to 2 if you don't want to be disturbed. After you do this start your game. Once the game is up ask your friend to click the refresh button in the server browser. When they refresh they should see your server (the server name will just be your steam name) and will be able to join it. If they dont see your server just have them wait for a minute and resfrsh the server list again. Hope this helps.

If you haven't already, set multiplayer to Yes and make a private server if you want. If the private server doesn't work, then make a server with a random name and set the player limit to how ever many people you want to join the server, and ask them to join it. If this still doesn't work, their connection may be far away and they could have a high ping.

I fear this does not work anymore. Both PCs are in one LAN. I have bought one BrickRigs license on my Steam account but my son cannot play the same game on his PC even if we are in the same LAN. We have created a new Steam account for my son and authorized him as family member. But even then only one person can play that game.
The $$$ rules they should change their name into $team

I think steam has forgotten that family in reality exists. If my son plays one game and i start a total different one, then i am kicking my son out of his game - without any warnings!!!!
Ridiculous!!!!!
I have no clue what the developer of steam have thought about family account and for what that is any good for - it has nothing todo with playing as a family together.
Maybe its to check what my kid has installed - don't know. I see no advantage or good thing about it.

You'll have to ask about this in the steam forums. The feature family sharing says at the end basically that someone sharing can play your library of shared games while you are not using them.

This is because of Steam family sharing. If you were to get your son a new account and then buy BR again, you could play. It's a system so greedy people can't add their friends and all play the game for free. It really isn't nice for an actual family, but they need it to have people keep them in business.
I hope this helps you!

The family sharing system was recently updated/upgraded/reworked.
