Yes you can drive and run around with a controller, but for the editor you need a keyboard and mouse.

You will need an XBox or similar PC compatible controller. Play Station controllers do not work

Ill correct that, They do "work" as I have one myself. I use it all the time, HOWEVER you need to download DS4 Windows for it to work. http://ds4windows.com/

Edit: you can also use steam big picture and enable PlayStation configuration support and It will work. so if you dont want to download ds4 windows use this method.

Yes there not natively supported, but you said "Play Station controllers do not work" When they actually do. But then again the question was does the game support ps4 controllers, Well no but actually yes.

No, the game does not support PS4 controllers. Using an external program does not change that fact. You CAN use said controller but you need another program that is not Brick Rigs to use it, meaning no, BR does not support the PS4 controller.
With the right programs, you can do anything with a controller.
