Firstly, this would require two ways for each user to interact. You could download firmware or edit the registry to make Windows support multiple keyboards, but this would not play nicely with Brick Rigs. You could try plugging in two controllers, however this would limit the functions available, and I am not sure if Windows can support multiple controllers at once.
Secondly, this would require more processing power. Instead of having to simulate one vehicle being used at once, your computer would have to simulate two. This might not seem like much, but when the number of people in a 16 player server doubles it will be noticeable.
Thirdly, there are more important updates under works, of which some have been backlogged for years. Brick Rigs is a passion project supported by one person, so updates take a fair amount of time to be completed. This means that only a select few vital updates are added (better physics, enhanced UI ect.).
