Why we should not be able to knock down buildings anymore.
The problem is (espieshhaly on city sandbox) is that people are destroying buildings, and that is not the point of the game. It has nothing to do with the game and is just stupid. It also looks awful with bricks on the ground

While I kind of agree, I feel like it's up to the host of the game. I always host, so if someone does something I don't like, I ask them to stop, and if they don't: kick them from the server. If you aren't hosting, you have no right to complain about what someone else is doing on the server.

In regards to Ocelot, I feel like players have a 'right' to voice their opinion, but no 'right' to force it. In regards to the discussion topic, destroying buildings is very much a part of the game. I say this because the game can give you a mission in which you have to destroy buildings. If that doesn't make it part of the game then what does? Now I ask you, what is the point of brick rigs? That's yet to be defined, so what are you going on when you say this isn't part of the game? Right now this is a physics simulator that lets you create the catalyst in a reaction of destruction. There are optional missions, but you aren't forced to do them, so they aren't the point of the game. I personally feel like this is the best possible format for brick rigs. It's a creative building game, limits restrict creativity. Removing limits only increases the amount of people who would be interested in the game, thus increasing players, which both increases the life span of the game, and the chance for more updates due to money made from the game. In short instead of looking to remove building destruction you should find more restrictive limits to break.

There is no definitive point behind Brick Rigs, the purpose of the game is that you can do whatever is fun to you. That could be building, offroading, racing, flying, destroying or a combination of everything. I refuse to force players into restrictions like having to do missions. Still the missions are there because they should inspire you to discover new possibilities, everything you do in a mission you could also do without starting the mission. You do not play for the sake of unlocking something or ranking up, the actual gameplay is supposed to be the fun part. You can just start up the game and let your creativity flow.
Building destruction will not be removed, people who enjoy it can have a fun time with it and if not you don't have to destroy buildings, it's not like that would easily happen on accident (unless you drive around with 3000L of rocket fuel).
When a new players sees that you can leave the map entirely or place bricks in each other the first logic assumption would be that those are unwanted bugs. But they are not, players like Trance use the freedom of being able to overlap bricks to build even better looking creations and others build rockets to leave the skybox, because why not?

Wow... Here I was thinking that I had made a sensible answer. Alas, I agree with what Trance is saying. Brick Rigs is a physics sand box, and the ability to destroy buildings is a part of that (as well as being great for anger management). Granted, I do see your point, and that it can get annoying, but if someone is seriously causing you so much stress because they knocked over a few buildings, this could make a good time to reevaluate your priorities in life (huh, maybe I need to do that, as I am typing on a forum at eleven o' clock at night.....). The thing to remember is that for the most part, it's all in good fun. People don't wake up in the morning and say, "What can I do to tick somebody off today?" People play these games for fun, and it is important to remember that. I'm not saying that you shouldn't ask them to stop if you really don't like it (and with that kick them after a few warnings), but if you aren't hosting, and even if you are, you might want to a moment to consider the harm being done. Besides, from what I have found, people are completely okay with stopping if you are kind and courteous. Oh, and just so you know, you especially is spelled, well, you see it.

Just noticed that you (Fluppi) had said something, so sorry I forgot to include you in the "I agree with" part....

I have the feeling that the author only wanted to let out his anger about a few players destroying buildings in his session, and we turned this into some kind existencial discussion about Brick Rigs and life. But I aggree now it is even 12am what am I still doing here I need a life

Isn't it funny, how fast things get out of hand. I'm glad opinions were voiced though, that's what discussions are all about! With that being said, this did go pretty far off topic. Now to reevaluate my life, as its 12:30 and I'm only just starting work.

The point of the game is to build lego like cars and crash them up, but I will delete this cause I found a solution to this.
