Buggy blocks
This vehicle is just acting... odd. First of all, I'm a fan of selecting, copying and pasting. I didn't track the block count, but somehow, along the lines of doing this, I ended up with several sporadic blocks duplicating themselves.

This wasn't just forgetting there was a block there and copying a section on top of another and having duplicates under it. I mean out of a portion of about 50+ parts, some blocks had up to 18 other duplicates hidden in side of eachother. There was no rhyme or reason as to which ones ended up duplicating either.

The blcoks were also being counted in my block count on top, as when I deleted the extras stacked in side eachother, I watched the block count also drop.

This has happened with only actuators selected, wheels selected or only plain bricks selected and a combination of each. I can also tell when a selection is bugged due to the massive lag spike the editor gives while it's selecting the blocks. In game, these blocks alos "jump" around inside eachother until the vehicle gets torn apart.

On another note, related to the patch notes, maybe, those 50+ blocks connected to one another are all the verticle hinge (2x2) type activators (vs the flatter 1x2). They work fine connected. When I remove one section - 2 blocks - the string suddenly breaks all the time in one specific section even in invincibility mode and I checked shift-L to make sure each block was actually connected to the next. The odd part is, it doesn't do this when I had that one extra section.

They are also all set to "physics" mode.

I should also say that I'm using these in a rather odd way... probably not as intended ;)

I haven't encountered this problem is a while, could you post the mentioned vehicle so I can take a look? As for the actuators I have no good answer yet, but I'll mess around with them.

Once I went through and deleted the 50+ blocks that duplicated themselves, I haven't been brave enough to copy the bug again, but it happeend multiple times with this one vehicle.

The real kicker is, those tank tracks work! (Or could work)

I've checked it out, and I'm not getting any duplication glitches, you may of been doing something specific to cause it. As for the actuators, it looks to my like the reason they wouldn't work when you shortened the chain is because if they got any tighter they'd invade the wheels space, and cause many a physics problem. Great idea on the tank tracks by the way.

I am also very amazed how genius that design is :O :104: :104:

Thanks (or should I say, "tanks"?)

The only odd thing I may have done while copying was to flip all 3 axes around to mirror a large section on one side to the other side - the track covers and wheels. I also happened twice with one side of the chains/tracks but have no clue why since I didn't even flip those around.

And thanks for letting me know the tracks aret oo tight... I may have an idea to fix that now that I know what causes it. :)

well sometimes i also get dupes, in most cases there is alteast one angled brick or a redirector selected. btw real neat idea on those tracks !
