Raid Town
Currently there are two ways to raid a town, seaborne assault which involve demolish the fort (very time, ammo consuming and risk of heavily damage or sink ship) and land assault which only a fight with guards outside the city (the more crew the easier the fight). Then proceed to fight in the town. After you have won, you confront the governor and get the cash loot and goods. So the question is "is seaborne assault yield better reward than land assault?"

Is this referring to the quests where you can liberate a port from the Cult in general?

If so there are six variations of this quest, each with different risks, rewards and ramifications.

If it's a very specific quest, give me a bit more detail and I'll see how it's set up :)
No, it wasn't about quest. just that i got 4 Man Of War on after raiding the Spanish Gold Fleet and it was the end of the month so i raid Spanish settlement of Maracaibo, Cartagena and Cumana. Since they have big fort with over 100 cannons, i opted to attack by land. So when i reach San Juan, i see they only have 70 cannons and tried to take the city by sea. It result in me using more than half the explosive ammo on 4 ships, with 2 nearly got sunk and 2 heavily damage i had to got away leaving the fort with 26 cannon remain. And attack by land get me what i want. So at this point i wonder about the merit attacking town by the sea compare to land beside not having to trek on land and one extra land battle.
Sorry, wrong game. It was City of Abandoned ship. My mistake,
