Worth a buy?
The game just went on sale on my wishlist, it looks pretty interesting and pretty cheap. Is the game worth a try? Will I be able to make a proper decision about the game within the two hour refund limit?

Thanks!

I may be late, but if you enjoy or are at least familiar with the games FTL and Sunless Sea (available on Steam), then this game is a mix of both.

You have to manage your ship and crew across ship battles to keep things from spiraling into chaos and stay in decent shape for the long run, all while pursuing a Lovecraftian text-based story about foiling a doomsday cult, with plenty of other stories and places to explore on the side. There are even several separate, shorter campaigns about certain areas in the main campaign, and a Freeplay campaign that takes place after the main story.

If you only have two hours, then the beginning of the main story gives a good impression of the premise, and seems the densest in "cutscenes". Later there is more free-roaming in between as you find your way and figure out more how to deal with things. It's not all battles, there are plenty of choices to make that have some consequence, and can haunt you down the road. If you are thorough, some things may get repetitive, but every map has at least one unique story, event, or background.

Let's just say, if you are drawn in by the time you are being chased, it's a promising buy, especially on discount.

Desperately needs manual save. The reloading from far back is getting old fast.
