cheat happens.
why do you people always feel the need to debate it when asked if its possible?
it is not about trust, or honor or pride or lazyness or whatever new excuse you have come up with to make yourself feel better.
personally, i cheat when i am doing beta testing. how do you know what works if you cant test it?
in games like this, cheating is the only way to get past uber mobs (the broken ones) so you can test for the next bug while that one is being fixed.
this game is NOT finished. it is not a sign of being a great player that you beat a part of the game that everyone is having issues with, it was random chance combined with your being too stuborn to ask for help .
if you now are part of this game, help out your fellow players with constructive information, not randon, holyer than thou lectures
For gold search double. Skills are float, but it has to be in the same battle if you want to find it.
Then why do people decide to play hardcore mode in some games like for example Grim Dawn? Hardcore means when you die it's over so maybe you as a cheater, or someone else, can explain to me why there are people that want to play a game mode where you only have 1 life and then decide to cheat to bring back a dead character while there is just a normal game mode where you don't even have to cheat because you can die millions of times without ever losing one..
So why are people doing that? Is it for testing purpose? Is it to play the game their own way??
And yes, while some games like Grim Dawn are single player, they also have a multiplayer option and it just sucks that there are a lot of people out there playing hardcore that die and just the next day you see them again on the same high level character.....
Too stuborn to ask how to cheat? No, getting through it may be rng in some cases but to say that people being "stuborn" and actually trying to get through something without cheating, making out like their effort to do so is somehow a bad thing, is just stupid... Newsflash, some people, very few, just don't cheat, and that doesn't make them lesser than you for not asking how to do so. Seems like you need to follow some of your own advice in the next comment you made...
I can't say how it works for this game, but that's usually how interactions between different elements are tested, in a special room where you have access to everything and there are handy spawn and effect triggers as opposed to like enabling god mode and playing through the game until you find the right ship in the right weather.
A test room or a chapter select, or a console command to spawn me into the boss battle would've been nice when my save got deleted on the first build I had tested ending up with me not making a review that included the boss battle because I wasn't able to beat it without my save getting wiped and the feedback was on a deadline.
you obviously have not played this game, as most of your coments do not actually apply to this game.
this game has, in effect, no save function. it IS hardcore mode. if you die, it is game over. thus if you want to actually play this game at all, you will have to rely on pure luck or cheat. the dificulty settings do not work properly either.
the devs have admitted to several broken and overpowered mobs in the game. if you encounter any, then it is a full wipe.
there isnt a test room in this game, as far as we know, nor is there a console, that we know of.
thus the questions. is there a console? is there a test? can we spawn in the mobs? can we change the gold? is the only way to change anything to edit the save file? (the current working cheat if you can call it that)
this game auto adjust all enemy ships to the equivilant of your ship, so you can not say that cheating will actually benefit you other than preventing a full wipe of your save.
some of us actually do get early access just to break the game. we actually enjoy cheating and finding the bugs for the devs. it is part of our game play experience.
some of the comentors here... it seems to be your habit to just be trolls....
You're just making up excuses to cheat, because if you really care about testing the game in early access as you say, you would test it by just playing it from the start normaly without cheats just as everyone else would play that buys the game.. and then you would post very constructive stuff on the forum how things are not working as they should and/or how things should be improved before the game gets out of developement!
But yeah, cheating has everything to do with lazyness because why else would you cheat in a video game? You cheaters are just addictive to chetaing in games and maybe you only cheat in single player games but there are so many that cheat in multiplayer games as well and destroying it for everyone else!

And oh yeah, this thread was created on the same day the game came out but hey, I'm just a troll as you say.....
If someone's cheating in an online game, then report them (assuming the comany has some sort of system like that in place). Or, you know, choose not to play with them. I remember when I played lots of L4D2, there was the odd cheater that would pop up now and then. Usually spotted by having infinite health/ammo. I usually just flagged and blocked them, then left to start a new match. Problem solved.
Maybe some people here truly only cheat in single player games, but then I still do not understand it why they do it, I really believe that all they do is destroying the game for themself but they don't all just cheat only in single player games, they're everywhere, in pretty much any online game.
Even Battlefield today is full of them, if you understand how they play and what they use it's very easy to spot them. But don't take my word on it, just look here and the reactions on these tweets to see what I mean -> https://twitter.com/TheBattlEye
Personally, I never understood why people gave a crap about achievements in games, but I know that's a huge market now. There's games out there that are entirely about getting achievements, and people go through them like mad (only to trade them in when they're done and buy another game to do the same).
But if someone cheats in mulitplayer, then report them, or do whatever the game has in place to take care of that.
try it
it deletes your game dumbass
its a one life to play game
if you DIE your save is GONE
*Drops mic*
Read above, you obviously have not played the game....
if you buy a ship, and have no crew, you are screwed. getting a proper amount of gold when you need it is a matter of luck.
i want to play this game, if i get wiped every other time i get a random encounter, i will soon give up lol
and since save files dissapear so often, cheating to get gold is the easiest way to get back to where you were previously
