I'm getting Bug Splat crashes now as well. Since I don't want to disable cores on my R9 3950X, I'll just stop play this game...A lot of memories killing Orcs.
I was having the same thing, clicking the game mode profile in ryzen master solved it for me. I also have the 3950x.
Also where I had consistent hard crashes in the game I lowered the resolution/settinvs, got past that point and then set it back again to move past it.
I tried the Ryzen Masters and set it to Game Mode, which essentially limit the 3950x to 8 cores. Technically I can play the game now, but the resolution is not cooperating. It defaults to a lower resolution, then crashes when I try setting it to 1080x1920. Oh well, it is what it is I suppose.
Interesting, I am running on a 65" Sony 900h with a 5700xt using a DP 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter, and am able to select 16:9 3840x2160 in the video settings.
You could try manually changing it in the settings file so it launches in the higher resolution.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\THQ\Relic Entertainment\Space Marine\
or windowed mode by adding -window in the steam launch options and see if it lets you set the resolution then.
Dirt Showdown
Hitman Absolution
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine
Saints Row Gat Out of Hell
Try it, instead of doing 1000 things first try verifying steam files. Of course if you already did, then start to do what others recomend.
what i did was opened the system configuration application in windows; I opened up the "Boot" tab, and then opened up "Advanced options..."
I then select "Number of processors" and I bring it down to 8, and restart my PC after applying these settings.
That's all... Just remember to repeat this process and unselect "Number of cores" otherwise you gimp your graphics card until it is turned off.
Didnt work for me either.
Try 6 - 4 cores just incase
