SM not picking up ps4 controller?

Given that this game is from 2011 there is no support for ps4 controller. PS4 was even revealed yet. Relic does seem like they are blowing the dust off the game so it might happen.

I didn't even know ps4 controllers were compatible with PC, I thought it was just 360 and xbox One

Sony saw the market for and pushed it. They have inputs designed to work with both PC and PS3/PS4. The thing about it is they are not the same as a 360 controller. They are simpler inputs. The game still has to support it but it is much simpler to support.

No only PS4. You need software to make a PS3 one work.

I’ve plugged in my Duel Shock and works fine with STEAM menus. But doesn’t seem to work when I load SPACE MARINE.....?

Just had to go to GAMEPLAY OPTIONS in the main menu (title screen) —>> GAMPAD ON/OFF


Playing this game again is GLORIOUS BROTHERS!!!

Plugged into my 55” TV. My Duel Shock works via blue tooth or plugged in — super simple.

Last played on XBOX360 with low resolution and 30fps. Now high res textures galore with 60+ frames!

Boy do console gamers get a ruff deal with the visuals! This game looks great!

used a ps4 controller for almost all the playthrough, then suddenly it gave me the same problem

Same here. Just re-installed yesterday and my PS5 controller isnt working on SM anymore. I was playing with this exact controller on SM last year!

Hi people, I find the solution for the game, first of all in the game page select view controller options and activate the option use steam layout or steam input, then inside the game on gameplay options activate dpad and ready enjoy SM!
