Remake of Space Marine 1?

So now that the assets, and gameplay groundwork of SpaceMarine 2 exist, can SM1 get a proper remake? should be relatively cheap to make the missing characters and orks.

I miss the Halo recharge system of Space Marine 1 for 2. Melee in space marine 2 where some situations are impossible without dying to recharge your shield in solo is annoying. It's not even a skill issue at that point either.

You are going to have to hope there is one very dedicated mod team in SM2 that also really liked SM1 so basically a non zero chance it happens

Even if it were somehow possible to reuse 99% of their existing SM2 assets it would still take a long time to remake all the maps 1:1 and to redo all the scripts and cut scenes. It’s not really that feasible and therefore will never happen.
