How good is the single player story?

It's a good story for the 40K universe. Last time I played through it I was also playing through Dawn of War 2, which gave me a glorious few weeks of 40K dreams. ;)

althought the campaign/story/gameplay aren't anything new and exciting, the devs baked the ingredients to perfection. This is the game that introduced me to 40k and I haven't regreted any of the hours I've put into it.

You are kinda left wondering why you never see more than 3-5 other ultramarines ever, only ever fighting ONE actual SM fight with a combat squad of black templars and a combat squad of blood ravens crossing a black legion held bridge. The entire rest of the time its either JUST YOU or you and your 2 lacky sidekicks that dont seem to do much.

Story is predictable, its 40k though, what do you want.

it's plan to have a two sequel but THQ got bankrupt.

It's just like quake 2, even with you moving through ruins with the initial effort to destroy a big gun that is suppressing the arrival of other space marines. Then the evil stroggs or something corrupt evilly and there's like guns and stuff and body parts. Except now you get this spork of horripulation to defeat your enemies with.

You are an Ultramarine one of the deadliest soldiers in the face of the Galaxy. You mow down hordes of Orks and Chaos warriors. The plannet you are in was a stable human world that has been attacked by an Ork Waggh, you will find your regular Imperial Guardsmen standing their ground against the orks, heck i was saved one time by one of them. Some big ork with a hammer sneaked up on me, and before i notice he was on top of me (shoulder camera) 3 Guardsmen lit him up with their lass guns and an autocannon . The game is linear, repetitive, but is fun. Its kind of a roller coaster. Multiplayer is kind of dead.
