Replace Vengeance Launcher

Hi, everyone, I just started playing this game the other day and am getting to the point where I'm unlocking additional secondary weapons. I started with a stalker bolter and a vengeance launcher, but now whenever I come across additonal secondary weapons I can only replace what is in my #3 slot, and I can't switch out the vengeance launcher for anything. It is my understanding that I should be able to.

I would really like to run with a melta gun and either a stalker bolter or a lascannon for long range. I get how to use the vengeance launcher but this strikes me as a better option. Anyone know how to fix this?

If I remember right, When you go to grab the gun of choice. You swap out the one you are currently carrying. So first equip whatever weapon you want to change, then pick up.

Yeah, campaign.

I played some more and ended up with the melta gun in my #4 slot. I still found myself only able to switch out the weapon in my #3 slot but it's much less of an issue now (I much prefer the melta gun to the vengeance launcher).

Definitely this... You even get a prompt that asks you if you want to swap the weapon you are currently holding. So, select your #3 weapon (or #4). walk upto the weapon you want.. and pick it up. The weapon will now be in your #3 (#or 4) slot...

It's not rocket science.
