"Press Any Key"

Can't get past that screen. Tried the following:

- alt-tabbing
- alt + enter
- disabling Steam overlay

Not even my Xbox controller will respond.

Looks like a fun game, but if it's unplayable that's just a waste of money.

Anyone here had to deal with that issue and managed to bypass it?

Which screen exactly?

The first screen you get to after the cutscenes. When it tells you to "Press Any Key" to continue.

Basically, the screen before getting into the main menu.

Very weird. Try to verify/save your local game data in your library by right clicking on the game. If that doesn't help I would delete and re-install it

hah the file verification worked - thanks for reminding me about that, actually. I also used that for the Dawn of War series but totally forgot about it.
