Create realm, True Location?

So im only playing on steam and the create realm function / map function isn't registering my windows 10 location / GPS and its putting me half way across the world.

Has anyone been able to fix or bypass this?

The create realm function / map function is now using a virtual location system to locate you. The Dev team is working on bringing a precise GPS map function. Please stay tuned!

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. Hope they get a fix soon, missing daily quest clears because of this. T.T

Uh you shouldn't though.The only time you need access to realm for your dailies is to grab exp from realm cards, which does not require the gps function, as all you have to do is guild > realm and claim your exp. So I'm not really sure how this issue is affecting your dailies.

But I can't access a realm because I've yet to create one. I can't get the map to fix on my location, thus my problem. Or is there something I'm missing?

You don't need your actual location to gain realm exp. I can't speak for my experience because I started my account in January via mobile, but speaking with a friend who has only played the Steam client, they didn't have any issue with setting a random realm location. You're sure the game won't let you place anywhere? It should be possible.

After walking outside my house for like an hour, I got the game to get pretty close to where I am and made my realm, so I guess that's fine now.
