Kinda, but this game is more arcade-style than Guerrilla. This means you'll be playing into levels which you can explore quite freely, although sometimes you won't be able to get back to a certain point because on how the story unfolds.

What I remember of Guerrilla is that you can free roam the whole map and then the missions needs you to get somewhere on it, even very far from where you are. Here the maps are designed as self-conclusive levels, so maybe the answer to your question is no.

I hope that's clear enough.
thx

I found the levels to be extremely linear and straight-forward. Armageddon is nothing at all like Guerrilla.

yeah. this game is a linear TPS. nothing near as good as guerilla

I remeber when i heard about the reconstructor gun, and was thinking about how much i would have loved it in guerilla thought it was going to be same in this one. Nope to linear making the destruction fun of guerilla nonexistant.

"We need to make a sequel to a game based around open-world destruction and finding creative ways to kill people with hundreds of tons of metal. What should the sequel be like?"

"A linear corridor shooter! DUH!"

No, it's more linear and closed. It still is a great game that lets you destroy everything except rock, but half of it is in a cave. Just a heads up.

I can't understand the developers reasoning either.

You know how it is, you start browsing through the history and forget that's what you're doing and reply to someone even though it was nearly a century ago.

I'm guilty of this a lot, and it's really not that big of a deal.

Guerilla and Armageddon aren't the same as open world goes. In Guerilla you can move around freely while in Armageddon you're only limited as far as free roam goes.
