Magnet Gun
I have to say this is the best gun in the game. Hit the bug/ bad guy with the magnet aim and an obstacle SPLAT! Or you can just bring the building down on them. SPLAT! This game is getting bad reviews but I have to say the ragdoll effect when things are flying through the air... hillarious! I love this game... nuff said. ;)

I'm glad there's some1 on steam who isn't bashing this game (usually due to their own stupidity about whether or not their pc can handle the Red Engine). My bro actually designed the Magnet Gun with one of his coworkers and I have to say it's the coolest idea for a gun since the Portal Gun. Though maybe I'm a little biased, I would have to say that that opinion would be unchanged whether or not he is my bro. :)

I love the magnet gun too.

I've always been a fan of the Red Faction series and was a bit sad too see the destroyable terrain feature getting used less and less during the series.

I played RF: Guerilla and it was great even without the possibilty of destroying terrain. (Unfortunately that game was rather unplayable due to GFWL and poor pc mouse controls.)

So when Red Faction: Armageddon was released I read a few reviews and didn't even bother to buy it.

But now, when I got it via the Humble THQ Bundle I realize that it was a mistake not to buy it.

The Red Faction series has always been about inventing new stuff not possible in other games.

RF1 and RF2 featured massive destruction of environment etc. never seen before.
RF:G had destroyable buildings, to a degree never seen before.
RF:A has the magnet gun and the repair "tool"... two new great game mechanics never seen before.

It's a shame that reviewers didn't notice this, because the game has truly been a refreshing experience for me with the two fun improvements.

The only thing I would have done differently with the magnet gun is to use both mouse buttons. One for the magnet and the other for the anchor. In intense fights I sometimes screw up what I want to go where :-)

The only problem I have with the magnet gun is that it's too good: I find myself using it exclusively. All the other weapons have precise situations in which they're useful, not to mention they consume ammo, but the magnet gun is useful all the time. Consequently, I don't use the other weapons, which seems as if all the arsenal is gone to waste.

I use the banshees and the black hole. the Black hole is useful for the opening of insect rifts. it open you shoot a black hole the entire thing disappears... awesome :D

would be fun to be able to use yourself as an anchor. you know using it scorpion style than force punching something to death.
