Armageddon: A save feature that really doesn't save

If i understand correctly, Armageddon only saves from the latest auto save and not where you actually saved. Is it really how they programmed it or is it just a bug on my part, because it sounds soo stupid.

It refreshes the checkpoint basically. Normally when you hit a checkpoint and die or reload you return to that checkpoint as you were when you hit the checkpoint the first time.

If you manually save the game, it should basically update the checkpoint so if you die or reload you'll still be at the same checkpoint in a physical sense but you'll have the ammo and weapons you had at the moment you chose to save the game I believe.

many of the console games that are ported to the PC are set up this way. I hate it too but dealing with it is better than buying an xbox

I was so confused on how the game didn't save when I clicked 'Save Game' until I read this post.
