Pure Virtual Function Call Error

I have the game and haven't played it in a long time so I decided to start playing with my newest system setup. About 10 minutes in to the game I get this error "Runtime Error r6025 Pure Virtual Function Call" I looked online but no info on this. I have a pretty nice system with an updated gpu handles just about anything you can throw at it. Has anyone else seen this error? I thought maybe it was because I'm running a quad core and the game may not be able to handle the cpus. I also saw the error is considered a C++ related error. Anyow any feed back on this would be appreciate I like the game but can;t play it anymore. my System specs are as follows

2.7 Quad
6 gigs of ram
Radeon r9 270x with 2 gig of ddr5

This is the only game I have that does this if you check my game list you'll see i Have some pretty demanding games

Thanks the only thing Google brought up was a couple of pages on C++ and windows IE so I appreciate the links to the INFO.

Install all the MS C++ packages then try

"Visual C++ Redistributable"

Thanks Daniel I installed all of the updates as well as adding the 1 core startup command on the exe file but it didn't work then I realized I hadn't gone to the local files through Steam to check the integrity of the cache. I did and Steram fixed it, the game played through. I got to the chopper, flew through the tunnel and now I'm about to finally take the convoy! Thanks for the help. You think Crytek would have put out a patch for higher level GPU's, oh well at least I can play now.
