A little something I want to show (AKA The HF2 Prototype)

Hello to all, peeps. I would like to talk about something new I found on YouTube.

So while I was watching videos about Call of Duty, I came upon a video showing the World at War prototype. Since the channel's name is "Prototype Preservation," I thought that I would find Homefront prototype videos in there as well. Turns out I was right because I found videos related to the Homefront sequel, which later became known as "Homefront: The Revolution."

While scanning the channel, I found a few multiplayer maps that relate to the PVP game modes a lot of people in the Homefront community still play and love. Two of the maps that are shown on YouTube are completely new, while one map is a remake of the original multiplayer map shown in the original Homefront. After watching these videos, I couldn't help but think about why Dambuster Studios abandoned the PVP styled multiplayer for a co-op mode that almost nobody plays nowadays after Crytek UK dissolved in 2014? And also, why did they choose to go with the open-world setting in an urban environment for the single-player campaign, rather than using the same linear level concept from Crysis 2 & 3?

As for the prototype, it is possible to download. However, for the prototype to work, you will need to go to www.obscuregamers.com and create a forum post to ask about obtaining the Homefront 2 prototype, since the website has the lack of a search feature. You will need a modded Xbox 360 console to run the prototype or use an emulator and mod it.
