Playable With Xbox One Controller?

Hi all, I have just picked up this game and notice it has partial controller support, however after the opening cutscene it says press Button 3 to pick up the gun which i cannot do. I have tried every button on the controller and all i can do is move but not pick up the gun.

I found an option to enable gamepad in the menu but ticking it did nothing, i still cannot pick up the gun.

Is there something i am missing? I have the latest drivers installed for my system and my wireless xbox one controller works flawlessly in my other games, even Homefront:Revolution.

I really want to play this so can anyone help me out please?

Hey thanks for your reply. Must be a problem my end then, i will keep trying. Maybe i need to get past the introduction before switching to controller or something weird?

Hey it's a little late but did you disable controller support for this through steam? Right click game in steam then down the list somewhere is a tab for controller options that shows up if a controller is detected. Make sure it's disabled for this game otherwise that can override the in game pad support.

Hey thanks for your reply! Yeah i tried that but still no joy as it just prompts me to "press button 3" to pick up the gun and none of the controller buttons do anything. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

I ran into this issue and cant get my controller to work.

Ran into this issue. I could move and look fine with the joysticks, but I couldn't pause or use the X/A button to jump. I right-clicked the game from the library and went into properties > controller and disabled the support. I use DS4Windows to emulate an Xbox One controller and that seems to work. Had to restart the game fresh after all that. I also have the "gamepad" checked in options if that helps.

Had a bug where my controller would fire my whole clip in one shot. I restarted the campaign and still couldn't figure out what went wrong. Uninstalled. Going to reinstall and see if it is still an issue.

Hello, in my case no buttons appear on the Xbox series controller but it works perfectly.
