How to effectively crown a witch

I've tried on multiple occasions to crown a witch by shooting her in the head with a shotgun. But when I'm playing on expert, this is not such an easy task. Is there a special time to shoot her when she's getting angry? Someone who is good at this, please elaborate.

Nah, you're best off not touching her at all if you dont have to, but if its unavoidable, try to find something to burn hrr with (gas tank) before you start shooting her, i think that slows her down a bit too.

I find that crowning on expert can be done by approaching the witch from in front, crouching, and aiming for the chin/neck of the witch, as if you were trying to get the bullets to pass through the top of her head. This is simple when she's standing, but when she is sitting, you have to wait for her to stand up before attempting it. Hope this helps.

Its just one full blast to the face. If you are using a pump shotgun, which I am highly against, get all up in her 'grill' and lay one clean blast through her skull. If you are like me, you would get the tactical shotty (I like it better than the spas because it is more accurate) and lay about 3 quick shots just to make sure she doesnt kill you. Essentially, the first one should've already done the trick, but I'm very cautious with witches. And I only crown them when they are blocking the path. Find your way that best suits your style and can get a clean kill. Don't want any deaths from a misfire. And it might take a few tries before getting it right.

if she is becoming already pissed, like on her feet, or looking at you, will be harder.

Making every pellet hit with a good body shot is far easier than trying to headshot her, plus you can get about 3 shots off on her for good measure before she fully mobilizes.

While that is true on anything other than expert campaign, you need the headshot on expert to 1 hit kill her (at least in my experience).

Of course, full bodyshotting her and getting the second shot off with a pump is effective as well, though not as reliable.

Well i know this post is very old and i just saw it on the net. But still if ur playing lfd2 and you might have already learned how to do it . But crowning a witch isnt really that hard . The online community and then internet might have made a big thing about it but u just have to keep ur cool while crowning her.
In the easy and normal difficulties you might get away with hitting her in the chest with all the pellets. Pump in a few more rounds to make u comfy
But in the advanced and expert diffculty you should get all ur pellets in her head. Try shooting her from the Top-Down as it usually does more dmg.
In draw crowning u shoot a witch from a far away place and when she fully occupies your crosshair u shoot her in the head or chest depending on the difficulty

This really helped me. Just saw it I used to play this game on console when it was first released cause I was a teenager and a peasant yadda yadda yadda but I could never really crown the witch i'd always choke up gonna give ur technique a shot thanks man.

That will only work on easy and normal, on advanced and expert every pellet of the shotgun blast must hit her head, otherwise she won't recieve enough damage.

True, but usually the autoshotguns are better, as it's easier to follow up an extra shot or two in case you messed up the first shot.

As you can see, there's no need to rush the shot, take your time and wait till her head is in your crosshair till you shoot, don't be afraid of getting too close to her, she won't be instantly startled even if you're touching her butt
