is there split screen on Left for dead 2
thats it basically just wondering if theres split screen

Not supported on PC, no. I think there's some sort of modification that allows split screen, but it won't let you play online, plus it requires heavier resources.

This mod works quite well for me http://www.l4dmaps.com/details.php?file=17680

The only problem I've had is that sometimes it won't let me connect to servers using split-screen. Other than that works quite well.

There is a way to play splitscreen online, as I have used it myself, but it requires the server to change the map using the ss_map command. I would say about 99% of servers do not run their maps in this fashion, so you would have to host your own server in order to achieve this.
