Versus Coop! Play as Special Infected by yourself!

Do you wish you could play versus, but without all the pressure of playing with other people who want to win? Do you just enjoy running around as the Special Infected and beating up on helpless Survivor Bots? Then I have just the thing for you!

Behold! Simply subscribe to his mod, and then go to Custom Mutations, Versus Mutations, and then Versus Coop.

Then, simply start a game. Play as the Special Infected. The bots will work their way through the map by themselves (just warning you, they rush). With only one player, your spawn timer will be like 5 seconds. After you crush the bots, once the new map starts....just switch teams back to the Infected and kill the bots again. They're just bots, they won't care about your team switching. In fact, you can switch teams as many times as you want, which sometimes you need to do, e.g. cola event in Dead Center.

You can even play with friends! Everyone can play on the Infected and slaughter the bots together! And there's no pressure to make sure you pull off the death charge etc.

And because you're just playing against bots....who cares if you cheat? Spawn yourself as the Infected of your choice so you can get more practice. Work on your tank rock curve, practice 25 point pounces, death chargers, etc.

Exactly! I have been wanting to improve my special infected attacks without constantly feeling like I'm useless because I never live long enough to practice. It's perfect!

FYI, I run a modded server that has this mutation on it. Anyone who would like to slaughter bots with me, feel free to add me to your Steam. I don't care about your skill level in versus coop.

The one catch is that my server heavily mods the Infected so that they are much, much more powerful. If you learn to play versus on my server, you will hate vanilla versus. So if you plan on actually moving into the real versus community, I suggest against playing on my server, but if you only ever plan on slaughtering bots, it's a LOT of fun.

This. It's bull that you get kicked for screwing up even once in versus.People need to remember that l4d2 doesn't keep stats, so it's not like a person on your team who sucks is screwing up your stats or kdr.

Just select play online but create the local server yourself. You won't be playing with any real player.

I actually made another version of this over a year ago but it was when I was inexperienced as a scripter. Here is a new and improved version I just finished fixing up today if anyone is interested in taking a look.
