Maybe you have bad internet and is not really a DDOS attack? Who knows? Valve tend to connect you to servers from like China or Latin america...

This has been an on going issue and we know the cause. Iv'e been a target to these basement dwelling clowns.
My internet is fine but after a few mins on any official server everyone will be affected with connection issues. Not an issue on local however.
try setting up a bind that changes your name and spam it during load / transition screens
servers are fine I'm pretty sure its just people on a list being targeted
sure, it's a modded server that runs only 1 mod, an rpg, and that's not for everyone, but it's 100% safe from the people doing these attacks.
