well yes because as mentioned you can hear them be in agony meany of occasions however due to them being infected by the green flu they dont really care for it and just ignore it all together
if you want to go by the aspect the person is still actually consious through the infection then they are in a lot worse than just pain id say, and well if you want to go that the green flu has taken over to the point theres no consiousness then that pain doesnt really mean anything to it
common are always slowly starving, including the special infected who are mutated physically
Special do since they make pain sound when you hit them.
Tanks seems to be less prone to pain unless you blow up a gas tank on it.
I am guessing in L4d1 tanks due feel a lot of pain when you burn them since they become more aggressive and run faster.
id say its more tat the tank has so much muccle that the bullet impact isnt strong enough to slow it down (to a significent degree, shooting a tank does slow it down but the minigun is the only one to do it to a significent degree, so a powerful explosion has the same sort of impact
to me its more likely the tank die to blood loss than fatal wounds
i think the nervse responding to pain is still there but any consionce feeling or decision is so far gone its not actually aware to me if there is some consiousness left inside them (i dont think so at all) then its numbed to the point it cant feel it or have any sense of awareness
but to me its most likely that it has zero cognitive or frontal lobe function. no thought no memories no awareness
