What caused the zombie outbreak in Left 4 Dead?
Was it an tainted burger like in Zombieland, or did Ceda start it like resident evil?
i think it could be some flu or virus. write what caused this before the events of Left 4 Dead 1 and 2...

The Green Flu is a virus that alters the biology and physiology of those afflicted, but it's exact origin is not officially confirmed.

All we know, is that the most likely patient zero is an unknown man who was brought to Mercy Hospital for treatement in the ICU ward. From there, the infection likely kept spreading and afflicting more people, until a few days later it began turning them into zombie-like creatures.

It's most likely that the green flu is a naturally occurring virus that mutated from rabies, as the government wouldn't have responded so slowly if they had been the ones to create it, as they should've known it's full potential from the moment it got reported.

nah, FNAF sucks i hate the games and movie and creator, screw fnaf since it is for kids and manchildren. i'm anti-FNAF, i play classics like resident evil and silent hill.

you are right! Half-life and L4D2 are somewhat connected.
"somewhat connected" valve said their not canon, plus l4d2 takes place in october 2009 and the resonance cascade occured way before it SO NOT canon

The closest thing we have to an answer is the Payday crossover where it was shown that Patient Zero was a person with an unknown disease that was hospitalized at the Mercy Hospital. But people say it's not canon.

oh and another thing that's not canon is the Dead by daylight DLC where it had Bill in it.
