get some friends maybe
That's the true Path to Gitgudia around here.
Remember how they wouldn't path through the breakwall by the elevator in No Mercy 4? Yeah, TLS fixed that. Now the bots will actually revive you there.
you get pinned by a hunter and they all shoot instead common zombies around you
dunno how some can enjoy playing solo like this
Unfortunately, this improvement has been offset by the bots having pathing issues in certain areas in the campaigns. Prior to the TLS update for example the bots had absolutely no issues ascending the ladders of the elevator shaft in the No Mercy finale. Now, however, they will get lost if the player gets too far ahead and will repeatedly climb then fall down until they are picked off by the infected.
That issue aside, and to address the OP, you have to play around the A.I's stupidity to get the most out of them: Stopping to allow them to catch up, keeping a good distance away from tanks/witches, and trying to position them so you get the most out of them during horde events.
There are mods that improve the A.I, but they will not make them smarter, just react faster to external stimuli and not be such hogs with medical items. There are a few that allow them to carry or even use throwables, or even give them commands, but again the A.I is not going to be smarter getting such mods.
boone and ed literally carried me at start of the game with their god tier aiming
It's pretty easy to program a bot just to shoot and hit their target, but do they fallow you precisely, stay out of your line of sight, and dodge attacks? my memory is fuzzy with that game.
they dont go in way of my shooting that much, better than 4 tbh
Alright fair enough. I guess it's time then.
