Did the Green Flu spread Worldwide?

If I recall correctly the Green Flu's outbreak was only in the Eastern United States by the time of the events of Left 4 Dead 2. It had not crossed Mississippi River nor had it traveled very far north into New York. From the map shown it also strangely has not been reported to be in Florida, or perhaps it had spread so fast into Florida that no one lived to report it. Also, according to the map in Left 4 Dead 2 showing areas that have fallen Indiana and Ohio had not been thumped by the flu yet.

The third game though that had been cancelled was supposed to take place in Morocco in Africa which indicated that sometime after Left 4 Dead 2 the flu eventually does spread past the boundaries of the United States.

I could write an educated response, but I won't. It would be a waste of time and energy on my part.

My answer is that the rest of the world is doing a fine job of having real world outbreaks that everyone in the entertainment industry unanimously decided to have all fictional ones happen in the U.S as compensation.

Graffiti in the game confirms that it has spread beyond the Mississippi, as it specifically mentions Bossier City and Shreveport have been overrun by the infected, both of which are right next to Texas.
If the East of the river was safe, then the survivors wouldn't have had to go all the way down to New Orleans to be saved, they could've just asked Virgil to take them across the river and continued on foot without having to worry about the infected.

Also, the entire state of Pennsylvania is confirmed to be overrun after about 5 days, and is essentially a deadzone after 3 weeks of the outbreak.

I forgot about the graffiti, just recalled the map which showed cross off escape centers under CEDA control.

In regards to the Walking Dead for plot reasons.

In regards to North Korea...you really think that? The country barely has enough fuel to do their military parades, uses obsolete or badly designed equipment, barely have any electricity, and the country's population is plagued with famine, disease, as well as parasites.

The only reason North Korea hasn't been thumped yet is because they are allies with China and Russia.

In terms of just having the most toys to play with U.S, Russia, and China are the big three right now, but each are hampered in their own way from reaching their full effectiveness. U.S social climate is eating away at it, Russia has not been militarily competent since WW2 (though they have gotten better since the Union fell), and China has a bad habit of cutting corners with everything.

That is my take on them from what I have seen and heard, though obviously being a U.S citizen I can write significantly more on it than the other two.
