Best Available Dedicated problem

Heyo. So me and my friend are trying to play some custom maps without having to deal with local hosting (we aren't actually that far from each other, but it can still lag), so we are trying to use Best Available Dedicated. The problem is that the "Best Available" dedicated server is a community server that FORCES Expert Realism at all times, so we can't even get out the front door on any map we try to play without getting instantly annihiated by 4 hunters and 3 tanks. It can't be changed at all through voting or options, no matter what you choose in the lobby you will ALWAYS be forced into Expert Realism. This server keeps popping up like a cancerous whack-a-mole whenever we play and since there is no "choose server" or "blacklist" option, we just CAN'T play a single custom map some days. Is there any workaround to this stupidity?

Type "openserverbrowser"

Find a server with low ping.

Join

Invite your friend.

Best available dedicated puts you on the best available community server, and you can't control what community server you join. Most are the trash you mentionned with exessive mods that force you to do things you don't want (which is still utterly retarded and I have no idea why people would do that, because it drives players away from your servers)
Plus, not every community server has the campaign installed.
You'd really be best off using local with sv_consistency 0
Alternatively you can go through the hassle of looking through steam groups that have servers with the custom campaign(s) you want to play, and select those from the list when setting it to community server.
