ive suggested several matchmaking system fixes, like seeing what server you are joining when connecting, being able to see server names when using the built-in server browser (just like tf2 xbox and tf2 ps3), being able to actually see what chapters most versus games are on and also being able to see every instance of a game.
anyways these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basically have leaked a 17 year olds ip address (atm 16).
Do not be deceived by their claims of being able to get self-banned. They have lied about and ignored these requests for ages.
The only real measure thus far is to block the IP's of every single one of their servers on the firewall, a list of which you can find here, from all regions:
https://www.gametracker.com/search/left4dead2/?query=Lewd4Dead
(so as to not connect to their trash and infect your files with obvious malware).
Just add an exception to your firewall with advanced settings and you'll block yourself from connecting to their cringe.
Valve should simply step in and shut them down.
It's appalling that this is the only current fix so we don't end up joining malware infected servers. You're absolutely right, though. They will ignore self-ban requests and may try to dox you instead. Which just makes them completely unreasonable and nonnegotiable people.
Which is why we need to be taking this directly to Valve so these servers can be promptly shut down. There is no progress to be made because the Lewd 4 Dead owners are not willing to give even an inch here. They would rather threaten, harass and post real life addresses of players in this game, than to negotiate with them.
They have doxxed minors too, which just shows that they honestly have no qualms about hurting children either. So, not only should something be done about these servers but something needs to be done about the players behind them. Not just Valve action, legal action.
This doesn’t work because Lewd 4 Dead would constantly switch out the IP making this fix worthless. They’re that desperate
In any case, there is a setting for this in the Steam settings on the In-Game-tab, if you feel uncomfortable with this, and want to turn that feature off for some reason. But you can easily trust me with these things, because its just me, and I obviously know what I can and cannot do.
The issue isn't that they post IPs. The issue is that they go the extra mile to find your exact address on Google Maps and post it on their website. It is essentially a warning or a death threat.
"Stay quiet or something will happen to you"
That's the issue here. It's illegal to threaten people. And they are doing it to protect their profits made from their servers that they spam everywhere via malware. Which they put into the game files for everyone to download. Which, might I remind you, is all pretty much not allowed by Valve.
Through and through, their actions are despicable and absolutely warrant not only Valve action but legal action as well. They're putting lives in danger, not just adults but minors as well. I can't believe this hasn't gotten any attention so far. One person said that their address was leaked and they were only 16 or 17 years of age.
How is this acceptable behavior?
like that at least will give you the peace of mind, if the fact that the people trying to doxx you might be from a completely different country doesn't
