Is this game fun to play solo?

I am tempted to buy this game based on so many good reviews. However since I have zero friend (not trolling) who would like to play it with me, I am not sure if this game is worth buying if I only play it solo. Any suggestion would be great. Ty!

Game can be boring after few hours of playing solo with bots, but it's get boring much much more longer in multiplayer even with strangers, maybe you'll meet some friends there.

The ai is absolutely horrible... Playing solo is like eating a bowl of broken glass and metal shards without milk.

OTOH, playing solo for a bit is a great way to familarize yourself with the gameplay and the maps. Having some sort of basic competency makes multiplayer a lot more fun and a lot less likely to get hassled.

It is doable with bots, you just need to know their weaknesses and strengths, and play accordingly.
Also, you do not need friends, you just click "play online" or something like that in the main menu,
and play coop with random people online. If you like anybody, you can friend them and build up your L4D2 friend list this way.

Play all campaigns with bots on normal, then play with randoms. There are lots and lots of trolls, but also friendly players.

Playing this alone is BORING as hell.
