In realism, if you lack experience, DEagle is the way to go because it one hit kills commons
On dead center chapter 1 it's always good to have at least 1 person with pistols to take care of enemies at a distance.
In Versus always get melee if you can, it's powerfull.
In survival usually people take melee to cut smoker tongues, but some positions are better off wit ha deagle because the ammo runs are difficult, for example the rooftop ledge position will often run out of ammo and have to use the deagle until it's safe to go refill ammo.
except for 2k hrs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ magnoobs ofc
Take melee if you cant aim or when you're playing not demanding game modes (easy, normal, versus) so you can hold w and m1, finish fast and stop occupying server.
Melee is good too.It doesn't need reload and can kill many at once.
I usually use melee.
Magnum as a secondary to shotguns or a Grenade launcher. (True love is exploding Jockeys and friendly fire.)
Melee if the hitreg isn't complete junk or to deal with the BS gauntlet events where they fling three Hunters at you simultaneously.
