more l4d2 hack tools just went public over tor network

versus is extremely unplayable now

so far I have seen people crashing servers
changing the map without a vote being called
people spinning in circles 1 shotting everything
the pause unpause spam showing up in developer console
zombie hordes dont show up when 4 survivors are boomed and in pink glow
I also noticed getting logged out of steam friends when a hacker joins

at this point I would suggest avoiding versus 100% until the hacking has calmed down
last 16 matches this week full of hackers
I was in a match today that all 6 people had this new hack tool and no one was kicking anyone they had all talk turned on showing off the hacks

and yes I typed status in console to check hostname and IP before someone reply with its a modded server

other players have flat out told me the hacks they have can crash players to the desktop

with developer console open I have seen weird unicode showing up and all players on the server will lag to 500+ ping

running a server with very few mods on it my hosting company told me the server was hacked and was sending out brute force hacking attempts so I had to put up a firewall on it to stop that

mean while anyone with 1/2 a brain cell can edit gameinfo.txt rename the addon vpk to pak01_dir and it will run fine in versus modes

the enjoyable thing that left 4 dead 2 has to offer are the fan made maps in the workshop that for someone reason no one wants to play

should totally come play realism insane realism expert mode with 12 survivors its fun to play and hardly toxic with friendly fire disabled

or the hardcore parkour VERTIGO map thats on the workshop you climb up the side of no mercy jumping along fences and air condition units with some surfing just like from counter strike

that map is broken and the author wont fix it
