L4D2 Speedrunning

I know speedrunning on this game has died a long time ago , but im still doing it , if anyone is down to do co-op speedrunning type down below. You don't need to be a pro at it , also , have
a microphone. I have my own Local Server with a Bhop Plugin ( It's not a hack , it's a plugin, that means that u can't get banned or anything , it's on my server ). Thank You

There is a Guy called khomchik that has been doing speedrun in 2018

Speedrunning l4d never died, it's still active with new runs being submitted now and then, I suggest you check out the speedrunning discord server I linked below.
And don't go watching khomchik if you want to improve, he is not good at the game, you're best off watching burhac or jura's streams for speedruns.

It's just that speed running in left 4 dead makes no sense, not engaging the enemies and breaking the waypathing for AI to lose the sense of direction in an old game with horrid pathing is just lame.

If there's no point in doing it then there's nobody who finds any satisfaction in doing it

Thats because L4D2 is speedran on 2.0 and not current patch.

"define good enough and define aboverage"

hard to tell when a person is really good or just simply decent, in a game like left 4 dead.
its not like it takes a rocket scientist to play left 4 dead

You never play any l4d game on a local server.....ever.
Local servers are laggy 100 % of the time.
Thats just not how you play l4d 1 or 2.

Cheated survival times, barely reaches gold in survival yet uses up all the supplies in the maps, lied about "world records" in speedruns (at least he changed that), steals artwork for his thumbnails and doesn't even credit the artists, terrible versus player (seen him play, no co-operation, bad cover, generally kick-worthy).
The only thing he's "good" at are expert solo type runs, which are basically trial and error.

Well about the artwork thing,i dont see it so bad,not everyone knows to use Photoshop

Stealing someone's artwork without asking them or even just crediting them is a terrible thing to do, it's theft.
And every single one of his survival videos show a terrible performance, you can look at his solo videos to see him cheat by abusing out of bounds areas, he also has a video of him cheating on port s by going on the bridge with grenade launcher boosting iirc

I really dont get why people act as if speedrunning in this game is a thing. I mean it's not like there's a real body with a concrete set of rules and rankings or anything, it's just a swarm of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like JAiZ screeching that everyone else is cheating or not doing it right because "you used this spot" or "you're on the wrong version of the game" or "you're not using the defaults" or "your server is 100 tick!".

Until there's actually a governing body why pretend it's anything more than a hobby?
